Learning through art enables us to learn in more profound and personal ways but also helps us to see the world through the eyes of others. For this reason art has a role to play when it comes to addressing challenges of today: integration, marginalisation and a school system failing to give next generation a holistic understanding.

With practical experiences as point of departure, this paper will present examples from various learning programmes at Louisiana Museum of Modern Art. Both those for large numbers of school children (15–19.000 a year) and more specialised ones. A collaboration with Red Cross schools for young refugees. And schools for children with severe learning disabilities
