Shelley Bernstein, Chief of Technology at the Brooklyn Museum, will be at Communcating the Museum 2009 to share her expertise in the use of Web 2.0 as an invaluable tool in building local community networks, specifically around cultural institutions. Since 1999 she has worked to further Brooklyn Museum's community-orientated mission through projects including free public wireless access, podcast subscription feeds, cell phone tours and handheld PDAs. She is also the initiator and current administrator of the Museum's web initiatives on MySpace, Facebook, Flickr , YouTube, and Twitter.
