The Russian avant-garde and Sport at The Olympic Museum

One month after its reopening, the Olympic Museum in Lausanne shows an exhibition devoted to the works of the Russian avant-garde of the 1920s and 1930s.

Photography, cinema and design play major roles in discovering the sports world in the Soviet Union at the time. This exhibition refers to the USSR’s mission to modernise the country through physical education and to ensure a strong physical health of the people.

“The Russian Avant-Garde and Sport” can be visited from the 24th of January until the 11th May 2014.
