The exhibition «The flying poet, Santos Dumont» highlights the inventive and futuristic character of Alberto Santos Dumont, demonstrating that it is possible to create innovations that change everyone’s lives.
The interdisciplinary nature of the exhibition enabled a playful, technological and interactive scenography with experiences ranging from interactive screens to paper plane folding workshops.
The main challenge was to coordinate the work of very diverse professionals. We combined the work of craftsmen from samba schools, with the work of a tech team that installed the plane in a chroma key studio.
We combined technological resources and tools with historicarchives. The exhibition offers an immersion in Santos Dumont’s universe. In addition to prototypes and replicas, we used advanced interactive technologies, audiovisual materials, and animations that brought images & historic documents to life.
The exhibition attracted 375,000 people in less than five months. The exhibition has been extended for another three months, and will travel to Sao Paulo and Belo Horizonte.
