CONCEPT
Since 2000, Agenda has annually organized the Communicating the Museum conference, in an art city
in Europe. It is the leading international event for museums and cultural professionals working in
communications today. Throughout 4 days professionals meet to share, exchange and learn the best
practices from outside industries, and their international colleagues from the museum world.
THEMES
The conference is always focused on communication issues for the cultural sector. In November of each
year, an organizing committee of specialists meet in Paris to debate and decide the next year's theme for
the conference - taking into consideration comments of previous participants, the opinions of invited
experts, and also gauging the 'marketing mood' of the time - what are most people concerned about?
What do professionals most want to learn? From this committee meeting the following year's conference
is born!
CONCEPT
This conference will be the first professional event in Europe which brings together the art and business worlds. It looks at the commercial management of cultural institutions and is eagerly awaited by both cultural professionals and the private sector. The organisers of the first CultureBusiness conference are Agenda and the Ministère de la Communication et de la Culture in France. President of the Forum: Nicole Newman, Head of Corporate Sponsorship at the Victoria and Albert Museum, London
