Communicating the Museum Chicago

Thank you

From 24-27 September 2018, Chicago welcomed an international delegation of 215 museums professionals for the 21st edition of Communicating the Museum, the rendez-vous for communication professionals working in the cultural sector.

With the contribution of 10 prestigious cultural venues, we organised 35 keynotes, panels and case studies, 15 exclusive events and invited 55 speakers to inspire museums to be more daring in their communication and public engagement.

We feel very privileged to have received such a warm welcome by the city’s most iconic landmarks such as the Chicago History Museum, The Art Institute and The Field Museum. The afternoon at Museum Campus South allowed us to explore this exciting cultural hub. The opening reception at The Chicago Scenic Studio and the fabulous gala reception at 360 Chicago have become our most cherished memories of the conference.

« Communicating the Museum is always an enjoyable and exciting experience for me.  The conference is the perfect size – large enough to attract great speakers from museums across the world but intimate enough so that there is an opportunity to meet and speak with most of the participants.  I leave energized about the work that is being done across the museum community. »  – Kevin Bradley, AKA NYC
