3.2 – Celebrating LGBT history

Learn how Royal Museums Greenwich celebrated LGBT History Month with a series of exciting events and lectures, from drag performances at the Queen’s House to a family flag-making workshop.

Sacha has developed the LGBT History Month programme at Royal Museums Greenwich since 2015 working with multiple LGBTQ+ audiences each February to put on events, activities and projects. This February he ran the first queer takeover of the Queen’s House, a historic former royal residence. He will share his experiences and associated challenged developing and delivering ‘Fierce Queens ’ and event which used drag and gender-fluid performers to reinterpret the space attracting an entirely new audience to the site.
