Case Study

The Gateway Arch Park Foundation project in St Louis, Missouri, USA, is a true Public-Private partnership. Federal, state and local agencies joined together to develop solutions to challenges facing the Gateway Arch public realm environment. Prior to redevelopment this iconic Archway Monument was severed from the City it represented by poorly-placed infrastructure, inaccessible grounds and an outdated Museum. This session will discuss how the project built community support around the proposals, as well as providing a truly accessible environment, creating a renewed sense of local ownership of the Park environment and a revitalised and resilient tourist attraction.
