Case Study

The UK marked the centenary of the First World War with an innovative contemporary arts programme developed with 600 arts and heritage partners. An astonishing 35 million people took part, which included mass participation events taking place simultaneously in multiple cities.
Some projects saw up to 40 partners working together for the first time across England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales, and invited the public to take part in innovative ways, both physically and digitally.

Claire will talk about how working in partnership was the only way to deliver these events and how the marketing engaged audiences with history on a monumental scale.
